The members of the Austin Amateur Radio Club are an effective
group in providing services back to the community through
various events such as working the Capitol 10K, BP MS-150
and other events, or working with students through various
school and scouting projects. We also recognize that there
are other ways we can help our community other than providing
communications where needed. The purpose of this page
is to list some of these opportunities so you will be
aware of them. |

| The
Austin Amateur Radio Club helps the Cap 10K in multiple ways. Prior to race day we help by stuffing racer packets with the info they receive on race day. On race day, we have numerous hams positioned along the course to report any medical or law enforcement needs. A number of racers have received timely attention thanks to the AARC. This is one of our longest running events where we interact directly with the community. |
